About

AD100 designer and co-founder of The Expert Jake Arnold and entrepreneur Leo Seigal approached our team to help them envision a unique project – creating a walk-in meditation bar. The concept involved curating a space, offering 20-minute breath-work and mindful meditation sessions for individuals dealing with stress and anxiety. Our team contributed by visualizing an in-store concept, envisioning the entire space as a series of connected traditional Japanese tea rooms. The design aimed to reflect the philosophy of harmony and tranquility associated with the tea ceremony. Natural materials such as wood and bamboo, along with stone floors and felt-padded pods, were incorporated to create a silent and meditative environment. The goal was for individuals who entered feeling disconnected, to leave feeling rejuvenated after their individual breathwork session in private pods. A central gathering lounge under a skylight acts like an interior courtyard and a transitional space where clients can prepare themselves mentally before stepping into their individualized meditation sessions. The muted, natural light from the skylight enhances the serene atmosphere, contributing to the overall sense of calmness and connection with breathing.
