About
Located on a serene cul-de-sac within Hollywood's historic "The Outpost Estates," this residence, originally constructed in 1977, underwent a transformative remodel to infuse light and vitality into its original framework. Collaborating with Scrafano Architects, our team undertook the challenge of modernizing and reorganizing the space. The clients, a husband-wife journalist duo contributing to the New York Times, sought a home that would not only resonate with their love for travel and diverse cultures but also serve as a canvas for their extensive collection of art and artifacts acquired during their global sojourns in India, Brazil, Israel, and Hong Kong. Tasked with curating and displaying these treasures, our design approach was grounded in incorporating the family's existing furniture and art, shaping each space with a vibrant interplay of color, texture, and layers. The final result is a harmonious collage of living spaces, seamlessly woven into a singular narrative, adorned with bespoke millwork, intricate tiles, and inviting rugs – a testament to the seamless integration of personal history and artistic expression.
